Exchange Club of Columbia County A.C.E. Award and Scholarship

Applications due February 15, 2024

The A.C.E. (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award recognizes high school students who have had to overcome great physical, emotional, or social obstacles and is now eligible for high school graduation.

This is a positive program with two key objectives. First, it helps encourage students to overcome their hardships and keeps them on track to continue their education. Second, the award recognizes those students who are often overlooked for their accomplishments. This special recognition serves as a powerful example to all students that hard work and perseverance really do pay.

The candidate will graduate from a public high school within Columbia County this year, OR reside in Columbia County and complete GED classes by the age of 19. Each candidate must include the following information: A narrative of no more than 500 words that describes the problem and how it was overcome (Completed by Guidance Counselor / Admin / Teacher), Narrative A, and Narrative B not to exceed 250 words (Both completed by the Student).

The Exchange Club of Columbia County is pleased to be able to offer this award and a check for $2,500 to the student who best represents the mission of the A.C.E. Award.

The deadline for applications will be February 15, 2024 and the award will be presented at the recipient’s high school Honors Program. The recipient along with their parents and school sponsor will also be invited to the Exchange Club meeting on April 25, 2024 as part of our annual recognition ceremony.
